FAQs

Can I register on the day of the race?

Yes you can register the morning of the race at Packet Pickup. Please note you are not guaranteed a tech t-shirt with race day registration.  We order extra shirts for late registrations and it is first come, first serve.

Can I transfer from the 10K to the 5K OR the 5K to the 10K?

You are welcome to transfer during race morning packet pickup. Our costs do not allow us to refund you the difference.  Please see registration booth on race morning to make the transfer.

Can a race entry be transferred to someone else?

Yes, but you will need to see the registration booth on race morning and fill out a new registration form so we can assign the appropriate race bib.

I was injured after registering for the race. Can I get a refund or defer until next year?

We incur fixed costs for each runner based on registration numbers. As a result – unfortunately – we are not able to issue any refunds or allow a deferment.

What are the minimum age requirements to participate?

While there is no minimum age requirement for the 5K,10K, or1K, ALL participants must submit a waiver and those that are 17 years of age must submit a waiver submitted by a parent or guardian.

What are award categories?

In both the 10K and 5K valuable merchandise or gift certificates will be given to the top 3 overall men and top 3 women as well as the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age groups: 11 under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & over. There will also be drawings during the post-race ceremony.  If you are not in attendance during the award ceremony your award will be mailed to you.

How does the Team Challenge work?

Get your running buddies, family, friends and co-workers together and have fun challenging other teams. A trophy will be awarded to the fastest team (top 4 finishers) as well as the team with the most participants (in both the 5k and 10k event). All teams are coed, with a minimum of 5 people. A minimum of 2 persons of each gender are required to form a team. No exceptions. A single team may have as many members as desired. The top 4 on each team will score. Scoring is Cross-County Style; lowest aggregate time of the top 4 team members wins.

Does the race benefit a charity?

Yes!  Donations and fundraising from this event will benefit the designated race charity.

Do you need volunteers?

Yes! Please pass the word and invite your friends and family members to help out.  For more information checkout our Volunteer Signup Page.

Where do participants park?

One Loudoun has an abundance of parking in their garage parking area.  We suggest parking there for easy exiting after the race.

Do you allow Strollers and Pets?

Strollers and baby joggers are welcome, but must start at the back of the pack as a safety precaution for the other participants. For the safety of our participants, we do not permit pets to participate in the events. Thank you for your understanding.
